It is used to treat and prevent anemia caused due to iron and folic acid deficiency. It is also known to maintain a proper supply of oxygen in the body. It also plays a key role in the production of red blood cells (RBCs) which is known to improve blood supply. Livogen Captab contains iron (in the form of ferrous fumarate) and folic acid (Vitamin B9) as the main ingredients. Iron transports oxygen throughout the body and maintains red blood cells, thus making an individual feel energetic and preventing anemia. It is also used for treating iron-deficiency anemia which can occur due to chronic blood loss or inadequate intake of iron. It is also recommended to fulfill the iron requirement of the body used for the treatment and prevention of nutritional anemia that occurs especially during pregnancy and lactation.
