Prof. Dr. Mohan Thomas is an American Trained & Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon with a special interest in corrective Cosmetic Surgery. He maintains an exclusive practice in the full scope of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a graduate of the Medical college of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA where he excelled as a medical student. He holds Doctoral and Post Doctoral degrees from the medical college of Pennsylvania. He interned at Allegheny University, Philadelphia and completed Residencies/Fellowships (at very prestigious institutions such as Mount Sinai/New York University Hospital, Health Systems and Hahnemann University Hospitals) in 1. General Surgery 2. Facial Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery 3. Cosmetic Surgery Dr. Thomas is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a Visiting Scholar at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York. He was a Former Chairman of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and Orthopedic Institute, New York. He is currently an Honorary Consultant - Cosmetic Surgery at the Breach Candy Hospital and Research Center, Asian Heart Institute and Cumballa Hill Heart Institute and Research Center, Mumbai (Bombay) and Vintage Hospital, Panjim Goa. Dr. Thomas is the Medical Director of the Cosmetic Institute and Founder President of the Asian Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the Academy of Anti Ageing Medicine, Mumbai (Bombay) / New York. He is in private practice limited to the full scope of Cosmetic and image Enhancement Surgery. It was only natural that after being well-versed in Endoscopic Surgery since 1984, his level of comfort now makes him an expert and leader in Endoscopic Cosmetic Surgery - the only one in India. His level of comfort with his Diagnostic and Surgical skills, kind-heartedness and humble nature makes it a joy to watch him at work. His unique style of practice without a Big Ego and Arrogance is refreshing and he Guarantees absolute protection of his patient's privacy regardless of who it is. His attention to detail and commitment to the Art and Science of Cosmetic Surgery has led to clocking over 7,500 hours of Continuing education keeping him at the cutting edge of the field. Dr. Thomas participates in all the major International Conferences and is always a Lead Presenter at these meetings. He has authored and contributed to several text books and articles in many scientific journals. He was featured on ABC and NBC TV stations, New York. In the print media he has been written about nationally and internationally- Cosmopolitan, Femina, Times of India and DNA to name a few. Dr. Thomas is a member of the Advisory Council on Tourism, Govt. of India and speaks widely on bringing Quality Health Care to people from all walks of life. He is sure that universal Health Care is a reality while still providing world class medical treatment to the Citizens of the world that visit our shores. Moreover, his Artistry and gentle style of teaching brings him patients and practicing physicians from all corners of this country and the world.
